Well, today was certainly a day that gives reason to be joyful and thankful. For you see, today I got hired at the first ever job I applied and interviewed for. It's a part time job at a coffee place in town. I am so glad to be hired there for several reasons. Firstly, well, the money, is an instant plus. Secondly, it has very reasonable hours, meaning I don't have to worry about working late till when I turn 18. They open in the morning and close at three, so its flexible with my busy life. Thirdly, I won't have to drive there because it's right downtown, which in turn, keeps me from spending my paycheck on gas money.
    I'm told I'll only be paid 5.15 an hour, but its money and I don't care. I get tips, though, as well. The kind of work I'll be doing is cleaning, doing dishes, and in good time, preparing food.  I'm really, quite excited about the whole thing. Being my first job, though, I'm curious how it will be and how it will feel to be working for hours straight. I start Monday, so wish me luck!
